Free Licence Versions

The "SE" (SDK Edition) version is supplied to complement the AmigaOS4 SDK.

The "Hollywood" version is designed purely for Hollywood V4 and above.

The license covering these versions is passed to the user free of charge. This means that you are free to download and use the software, but it does not give you rights to the software itself. Please see the license section for full details.

The free licence versions have some limitations. Below is a non-exhaustive list of some of the features not found in these "free licence" versions. There may be other features disabled not covered here.

• There is a delayed requester for 5 seconds when starting CodeBench.

• The only project type that can be used with the "SE" version is the AmigaOS4SDK type. This type of project is pre-configured to suit the SDK once installed, and should be sufficient to create and compile programs with it. The AmigaOS4 SDK needs to be downloaded and installed prior to using CodeBench.

• The only project type that can be used with the "Hollywood" version is the Hollywood type. This type of project is pre-configured to use a pre-installed version of Hollywood V4 onwards. "Hollywood" is a commercial product which is available to purchase separately, and is not included with any version of CodeBench.

• Only one project may be open at a time, and closing that project will close the program.

• The Right mouse button popup menu from the Project window does not allow opening multiple projects.

• The Editors right mouse button popup menu does not offer some frequently used functions.

• The linking of projects is not available.

• The Recent List is limited to the last 16 entries.

• The Handy Hints are always shown after loading a project.

• The Importing of alien projects is disabled.

• The Code Formatting wizard is unavailable.
